PT BSU Supports Education for Indigenous Children in Batanghari

Jambi - PT Berkat Sawit Utama (BSU) strengthens its commitment to support the education of Indigenous children (Suku Anak Dalam, or SAD) in Batanghari. On Friday, November 1, 2024, the company provided uniforms and school supplies to 12 junior high school students and 2 elementary school students from the Asiatic Persada Education Foundation (YPAP) in Bajubang District.

This assistance is part of company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, aimed at supporting the education of underprivileged communities, particularly indigenous people. Through this program, PT BSU hopes to help SAD children stay in school and achieve their dreams.

"This activity helps students meet their school and educational needs. This program is one effort to break the cycle of school dropout caused by financial constraints and lack of support," said Ade Saputra, a representative of PT BSU.

PT BSU's CSR program goes beyond providing uniforms and school supplies. The company is also open to providing further support, such as scholarships, for high-achieving students who aspire to pursue higher education.
