PT ACP Builds Traditional House of Ezam Enim, To Strengthen Cultural Preservation and Customary Rights
Merauke – In a significant effort to preserve local culture and strengthen the rights of indigenous communities, PT ACP recently inaugurated the construction of the Ezam Enim Traditional House (Sanggar Adat) in Muting Village, Muting District, Merauke Regency. This initiative marks a crucial milestone in forging a strong partnership between the company and the indigenous community.
The Traditional house is designed as a multifunctional center supporting various activities of the Ezam Enim community, such as traditional deliberations skills training and customary celebrations, all can be accommodated in this space. Equipped with adequate facilities, this traditional house is expected to become the heart of the indigenous community's life, as well as a symbol of recognition and protection of their customary rights.
Regional Head of PT ACP, Arnold Rajagukguk, expressed his pride in the realization of this project. “We are proud to play a role in preserving the Ezam Enim culture while strengthening the customary rights of the indigenous community,” he said.
Arnold explained that cultural preservation and the recognition of customary rights are integral to the company's commitment to sustainable development. "We hope this traditional house will be a source of shared pride and encourage younger generations to cherish their traditions," he added.
