Partner farmers are small-scale farmers with less than 20 hectares of oil palm plantations. These farmers often lack on resources and expertise to improve their harvest yields and achieve more sustainable production. 

Partner farmers are very important to our community. KPN Plantations implements a partnership model that is mutually beneficial and fosters long-term growth for both the company and the farmers we work with.

In Indonesia, partner farmers are divided into two categories:

1. Plasma Farmers : Farmers that are structurally tied to a specific mill through contracts or credit agreements. KPN Plantations facilitates plasma farmers with planting materials such as seeds, fertilizers, and pest control. Plasma farmers receive guidance and supervision from KPN Plantations management
2. Independent Farmers : Unlike plasma farmers, independent farmers pay, manage, and obtain planting materials independently. They are not bound to a specific mill. KPN Plantations provides support to independent farmers to transition towards sustainable oil palm management.
